I really like this jacket; but if it's drizzling a bit, it gets soaked and takes a while to dry out before using it again. If it's raining at all hard, forget it - you'll be soaked to the skin. I may try a spray-on waterproofing . . . .

This is a great jacket. My husband loves it and always receives compliments about it when he is wearing it. It is a heavy duty coat that is perfect for this winter's cold weather. Would highly recommend!

Great Carhartt quality. Two things to note. The sleeves tend to be a bit short. Also, I wish it had been treated with a water-repellent. Other than that, great product.

Very comfortable. Has a very solid and durable look and feel. Very warm and keeps the wind out. With the dark brown color it has almost a "rugged, but classy" look to it. Basically, it's a Carhartt. Wouldn't definitely suggest other people to invest in it. I would also suggest that you try it on in person before ordering online. Sometimes the sizing can be tricky. Overall though, fantastic jacket!

I bought this as a replacement for a Carhartt coat I've had for over 10 years that finally was worn enough it was simply time to replace it and get something more respectable looking. I loved that coat, so chose this one, as it is essentially the same jacket with a few design changes that really are improvements - the snap-on hood ability, the inner flap under the zipper for wind-proofing, and inside pockets. I love the elastic cuffs and waist-band, as they keep wind, snow, and cold out quite well. This does not feel bulky but provides good warmth. Not a parka, but not really a "jacket" either. It is classic Carhartt - durable, well built, and practical. I expect to get many good years of use out of this one, as well, just like the old coat.

I bought this jacket to replace one exactly like it but in a large instead of a medium. The medium is 10 years old and has red quilted lining that is softer, fluffier, and warmer. The new one has black lining that is thinner and just not the same soft feel. Obviously cheaper material when compared to the older jacket. Also note that the older jacket was made in the USA as opposed to Mexico. The fit, sewing quality, and the exterior fabric of the jacket are excellent, it's just the quality of the inside lining that is not up to par. Would I buy it again? NO.

I am a little guy so I drove out to a Carhartt store and tried this Santa Fe style on and, lo and behold, it fit. So I drove home and bought it online for less money. Guilty as charged. The Detroit jackets were too big for me. The color of this jacket is called Worn Brown, but it is actually camel-colored. It is warm enough for most cold days, but if it's really cold you might need to add a layer. It's lightweight, but still warm. The zipper is big and stout, and should last. All and all I am happy with the purchase.

I got this jacket for myself. I felt it was a little overpriced, considering others that had different color schemes were less expensive. This jacket does just what I want - it really keeps me warm! It gets cold in Colorado in winter, and this jacket is perfect for those really biting cold days. It doesn't have a hat, but I didn't want one, so that works well for me. I really like this color, and it doesn't get dirty easily, which was a concern of mine. I can't think of any negatives, except possibly the price.

I farm 700 acres of grain/hay and raise Morgan horses. This is the best coat I have used. I have two, one for work and one for town. My wife liked mine so much she got one of her own and so did our son. Very warm with elastic waist and cuffs keeps wind out and love the style for western horse events. Two inside pockets for hand warmer and phone. Short waist to fit regular sized/height people. Many colors to choose from, although I'm not sure why some colors are so much more cost, as much as $20 more?
