It fits him great and looks very good on him!!

He says that it keeps him relatively warm on chilly days and on the really cold days he just layers it with his fleece jacket and stays relatively comfortable.

I am 6' 0" 230 lbs and this jacket fits me perfectly in xl regular fit. I almost bought the xxl because that is usually my size for jackets but their sizes run a little bigger. also, I bought a Carhartt pocket t shirt in xl it fits perfectly. Hope this helps someone.

My nephew asked for this coat for Christmas. I couldn't believe the quality when I got it in the mail. We are outdoor people, and we have many labradors. The fabric is so tough that no branch or dog jumping up can damage it. It's got a waterproof coating so rain beads off. This coat was made to last forever, it's very warm, and it looks good to boot. He hasn't taken it off yet. In fact, he asked for the same fabric coveralls to wear over the jacket for brush clearing work in the extreme cold.

The duck fabric is indestructible; the "sandstone" is a softer fabric. The regular duck is still comfortable; just wanted you to know the difference. I don't think that the microsanded one would last as long, but if you're just wearing it for looks and not rugged work I would say it's okay.

The title pretty much says it all. This coat is of top quality workmanship and materials. I have wore Dickies for a long time and have always been happy with them. However I wanted to try Carhartt since they are close competitors in this space. Comparing the two products I would say that the Carhartt products tend to run about 1/2 size smaller than Dickies so keep that in mind when ordering. Not a full size - but if you are close to your size limit with a Dickies then you might need to go a size larger with Carhartt to avoid it being too tight. The outer Duck material is very comparable to the material found in Dickies - no real difference that I can see. The inner lining does seem to be an upgrade from the lining in a Dickies - it just feels - thicker - and more durable. The zipper is a strong brass job and may be slightly more robust feeling when you zip it than Dickies. The woven cuffs, particularly on the sleeves, are tighter and feel more durable than dickies. Other than these things, they are really more alike than different from what I can see. The price difference between the two was only $10.00 with the Carhartt being the slightly more expensive. I think there is enough quality difference to justify a price variance of this amount. I would certainly not pay 50% more or double for the Carhartt name, but if you can find this item on sale like it is at present on Amazon for $59.95 - it is a very good deal on an absolutely outstanding product. In terms of wear, I just got back from a trip to Boston in January. Snow and ice, wet weather, about 20 degrees outside, with constant 15 to 20 mph winds. This jacket kept me nice and warm the entire time without the slightest chill, and no moisture or wind penetration whatsoever.Read more ›

The coat is nice, however I thought it would be heavier than it is. The thermal lining is very thin.

I have an older Duck jacket with thick lining that's almost too warm unless it's well below freezing. This one has a thin liner so not as warm on it's own. Don't get me wrong I love this jacket and use it all the time, in fact, it's more versatile than the heavier one. Just need to layer under it more when it's colder out. Does pretty well against the wind too.

This was a good jacket for the price. I ordered a size up, and it seems to fit nicely with a little room to spare on hubby. The outside is a really heavy duck material, which is awesome for yucky job sites. It washed and dried well without shrinking noticeably. The inside has a thermal (think thermal under shirt) lining that's not particuarly impressive. There's no material between the coat shell and the thermal, so it's not insulated at all. But it'll work great protecting whatever my husband is wearing underneath from work funk, and that was the point! It does have a neat little interior pocket for a cellphone, which I thought was a nice touch.

Im a big guy so I bought this 3x tall jacket. It fits great and no one has to look at my butt crack when I bend over. It is a very warm jacket. It will make you sweat in temperatures above 60 degrees outside. Zip it up and you will sweat when its 50 outside. It has every bit of the quality you expect from carhart brand clothing.
