Carhartt never fails to deliver--comfort, warmth and durability---and I love the color!. I had originally ordered another color which I did not care for, and as always Amazon came through with excellent customer service.

This has a very figure flattering cut that makes your feminine figure look curvy. It's a work coat but because it was cut correctly for working women, you don't look like you put on your son's or husband's jacket. When you move around, it doesn't slide up and down (like what happens when you wear a man's coat). The arms are cut so you can work without any binding on the sleeves or shoulders and the body of the jacket does not have to compensate for arm movement, again like what happens when women have to wear a man's jacket, ,... and Very Warm. I tried to wear it to shovel snow outside in 28 degree weather. I had to put on a different jacket because I got too warm. The outer shell is a tough canvas and appears to me that I'll be wearing it forever, though, only when I am not working so hard and it's colder outside.
Terrific wind resistance and feels luxurious inside.
The backside of the jacket is cut longer so you can bend over without getting a chill up your backside. They cut that angle from front to back perfectly so it makes your butt look good too.
I love it.

I own two of these, one in Deep Wine, size large, and one in Blue Topaz, size medium. I am normally right on the line between a 10 and a 12. The medium is perfect if all I want to layer underneath is a light sweater or sweatshirt--perfect sleeve length, range of motion in shoulders, etc. The large allows me more room for layering, but the sleeves are long and bunch up, and there is far more shoulder room than I need. I highly recommend this jacket, but if at all possible try it on wearing what you would be most likely to layer under it. Or just buy two sizes like I did--I love this jacket and have no regrets about buying two!! Both colors are beautiful, the Deep Wine is very dark and subtle and the Blue Topaz is a bright, almost turquoise blue. It is very warm and even in the smaller size, is easier to layer with than most other ladies jackets. The sandstone is surprisingly soft right off the bat and the sherpa lining is wonderful. I also like that the zipper is large and heavy duty, for that matter the entire jacket is very sturdy especially for being so cute looking.

I'm 5'3" with a smallish frame. The medium was way too big, so I returned it and was torn between Small and XS…
I wound up ordering a Small, and I'm pretty content. It's roomy, but that's good for layering sweatshirts, etc. plus the XS would probably be too short at the waist.
- The arms are pretty long and bulky, but it's a work jacket so that's just the way they make 'em.
- The pockets are nice and big (outside: two open regular pockets, one zippered left breast pocket. inside: right zippered breast pocket, open left breast pocket).
- The Empire Blue color was pretty true to the picture, I love the color.

You're not going to look super slim and sassy, but for a gal who needs a dependable jacket for working on cars/outdoorsy stuff/riding atvs, it does the trick without looking too much like a dude.

I really love this jacket! It's well-made, warm and comfortable. I'm about 5'2" and 107lbs. and initially ordered the medium according to the size chart. The medium was quite large on me, and as many reviewers have already stated, it runs on the large side. The reviews on this jacket are all over the place, but my feeling is that if you think you are smaller-framed, go with a smaller size. Amazon was good enough to exchange the jacket for a small, which fits me perfectly. It's a little roomy, but I like it that way since I tend to layer up underneath and I don't like my jackets too tight. I have a shorter waist, so no issues with the length of the jacket. If you have a longer torso, you may find this jacket to be on the short side. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this jacket for the outdoorsy type! Thank you Amazon for the terrific customer service!

I LOVE this coat, I will be a lifelong purchaser of carhartt coats. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the sleeve was not stitched properly, the seam is weird and always curls under. It was obviously a manufacturing mistake. But the coat is extremely strong, my bad puppy shred many coats until I got this, her sharp puppy teeth couldn't do any damage at all. Years later it still looks like he day I bought it. It is always my go to outdoor coat.

I used to wear my husband's coat, I didn't realize how much better the ladies one would fit! I am on the short side, sometimes wear petites, and curvy. This is perfect and fits me like a glove. My only "outdoor" coat I wear. I also love how natural it feels and breathable it is. Many many pockets for bringing no purse.

I waited about a year before purchasing a Carhartt jacket. I knew I wanted a sherpa lined one but I wasn't happy with the hooded ones I tried on at a local store. When I saw this one in tea green at such a great price I had to order it. Overall I'm pleased. Mine was made in Mexico and so was a men's version I bought for a gift. I can't say that they all are, but that info is something I look for in a review. It is a bit stiff when you first wear it, but a wash will take care of that. I ordered my normal jacket size, a large to accommodate a sweatshirt, and it fits well. One thing to be aware of is the sleeves. While the length is great for us taller girls, I'm 5'10", they do ride up when you reach for things. Fine in a grocery store but on the job it could be another matter. Aside from that I am quite pleased and I'm sure this jacket will last for years.

I bought this last spring (off Amazon) as it was on a smokin' good deal. So it was in the closet waiting for winter to arrive and in my area it's gone from 64 degrees last week to 30!! today with wind chill creating temps less than 18. OUCH! Out comes the Carhart and not only does it fit me perfectly, but it does an amazing job of keeping the wind out and keeping me warm. The hood is nicely oversized so I can flip it up over my hat. The lining is toasty and so comfortable. I think I will be spending this very long winter (since it's starting so dang early) in this jacket. I like that it doesn't gather at the waist (I hate that) but that it does have cuffs at the wrists so I can pull them over my hands when I forget the gloves. Great design. Great coat.
