Cute Addition to the Teen Romance Genre, May 6, 2004
This review is from: Caribbean Cruising (Paperback)
Eighteen-year-old Lindsay Darnell has just graduated high school, and is looking for some excitement in her life during the summer before she starts school as a freshman at the University of Texas. Luckily, her Mother and Walter, her Mother's rich boyfriend, soon to be husband, are getting married aboard The Enchantment. A lavish ship where they will spend their honeymoon. Lindsay has been invited, and knows that this will be the start to her new life. For Lindsay plans on reinventing herself. Instead of being shy, straight-narrowed, perfect Lindsay, she's going to let loose, and be wild for once. However, when Walter's overprotective godson, Ryan, comes into the picture, Lindsay's style is severely cramped. How is she going to meet the perfect guy for a one night stand if Ryan is with her wherever she goes. And why, if she doesn't want Ryan hanging around, does she think about him non-stop?
Being a fan of teen fiction, and any book that features a character going on vacation, I had to purchase Rachel Hawthorne's CARIBBEAN CRUISING. I was not disappointed. The book takes place over the course of 10 days, both on The Enchantment, and in each of the ports, including the Virgin Islands, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Cancun. The descriptions of each place are vivid and beautiful, while the characters are exciting, and fun. Lindsay could so fully be your best friend in life, while Brooke could definitely be the girl who your completely jealous of. Ryan, on the other hand, is like a knight in shining armor, who's looks, and charm will win the heart of all readers. A must have book for anyone looking for a cute teen romance.

Entertaining & Refreshing, June 27, 2004
This review is from: Caribbean Cruising (Paperback)
Carribean Crusing is the story of 18 year old Lindsay, and her quest to complete items on a list while on her Carribean Cruise for the summer to celebrate her mom's wedding.
Some of the items on the list include getting drunk, snokeling, kissing a lot of cute guys, and ending with the big one: sleeping with a guy for the 1st time.
Along the cruise, Lindsay goes on a quest for the right guy to complete the final task with, enlisting help from friend Brooke. This book was a page-turner, funny, and described teen life in a good way. This was a fun story for the summer which girls should take time to read!
