I can't recommend this DVD enough. It's my favorite of the series so far. Within the first minute of popping it into my DVD player, I felt all the stress of the day just start to melt away. Another wonderful DVD from this collection!!

I put a plasma 50 inch TV up on the wall in my bedroom with a surround sound. I use "Waves" to fall asleep to if I take an afternoon nap; they're really relaxing so I use them to fall asleep to; I started out with a small radio with sounds in it; but it was so repetitious that it actually kept me awake because of that. For a truly relaxing sound it needs to be varied and have slightly different sounds in it. Usually, I don't write reviews but I the Waves series is the finishing touch to my new relaxation system. It's truly like having a beach window out in the Caribbean. I just let it loop and play throughout the day helping to mask the outside traffic from my apartment. All 6 shots are spectacular, especially the last sunset one where the colors turn from purple pastels to hot pink and blue in 10 minutes. I look forward to seeing Florida Beaches coming out soon.

I have to say I enjoyed watching Caribbean Beaches.This is different than the others because you get a 10 minute shot of each island 6 in all.The wave action is mostley light lappers.The video is sharp as with the others and the water is so clear it is glassy.Here is the island info on scenes 1-6.

Virgin Gorda This is the only scene you see a beautiful sunset in.

The graphics have been removed on this set.All you see between scenes is a black background for about a second.You can either play thru all the islands or loop an individual island.Look for Florida Beaches in November.

Everything everyone here wrote about this DVD is true, but they seem to have left one thing out. It seems the older DVDs in this series, WAVES: Virtual Vacations, all seem to have a very dark sky and background setting. The water and beach seem ok, but any tree or group of trees, rocks and even the sky seem very dark, almost black some times, and its a full sunny day in all but the last sun set. I just dont get that. But I do love the sound and I keep this up as a screensaver.

The scenes are beautiful but to stay for 10 minutes each is just too long. I don't see any artistic effort by the photographer. The camera is just placed in one position and that's it! For future productions, I would recommend some action to let the viewer see more surrounding, birds flying, anything other than looking at the same scene for 10 minutes. Kinda boring! sorry!
