An invaluable resource in helping young children to develop their self-esteem and affective skills in so many areas. My first grade students enjoy the "realism" in the poems; they really identify with the characters and situations, helping to create meaningful discussion. The accompanying activities and ideas for each poem are always a big hit. As a teacher, I appreciate the comprehensive bibliography of "literature links." These books enrich any of the topics I want to extend. "Caring, Sharing and Getting Along" is a complete, teacher-friendly, child-engaging resource! Well done!
