About the Author

Carl Warner is a London-based photographer who works mainly in advertising. Over the past few years, he has been making landscapes out of food and photographing them; and he has been commissioned by many advertising agencies throughout Europe to produce custom pieces for clients in the food industry. He photographs his scenes in layers-from foreground to background and sky-as the process is so time consuming, the food quickly wilts under the lights. He then compiles the layers in post-production to achieve the final image. His "foodscapes" take up to three days to build and photograph and then a couple more days to retouch and fine-tune. The results, both edible and incredible, have brought him international acclaim.

I may be a little more excited by this calendar than I normally would be simply because the calendar I had for last year was terrible. That said, this is a great calendar! The pictures are vibrant in color and visually stimulating as well. It's fun to try and figure out what all the different foods could be. It shows all holidays (something my last calendar didn't have) and everything is easy to read. All in all, I would recommend this calendar to anyone that likes fun food.

I owned last year's version of this calendar and really enjoyed looking and searching for all the different foods that were used to create these lovely pictures. I enjoy having unique and different kinds of calendars each year in my office. I received it very quickly and it was in perfect condition.

I never heard of Carl Warner until i was looking for something else on amazon and came across his work. I loved the calendar so much that I also bought his book, so interesting especially if you like food and photography as much as I do!! My grandchildren love looking at the pictures as well and they try to guess what food is in the pictures, well worth the money I spent on the calendar and book!

This is my first Carl Warner item, but I guess it will not be the last! The pictures are stunning, and the calender comes with a couple of post cards as well. Never mind that this is 2014, you will still want the calender for the pictures alone! And it weighs way less than the book, hence savnes you a lot in postage compared to the books. Nice for inspiration in the kichen :)

This calendar is just plain fun. The landscapes Warner is able to create using food are just amazing. The picture quality is good, the daily boxes are large enough to write important notes or appointments on.

For me, what made this calendar a 5-star, is that each picture has an ingredient list so you can see all the foods Warner used to create the landscape. The foodie in me loves first trying to figure it out my own, but then looking and seeing how many items I was able to properly identify!

I think this calendar is perfect for the foodie in your life! Or just plain fun for even a non-foodie!

Really, what could be more perfect for the kitchen? This artist is SO creative with food. Even my husband was entertained. Comes with a big page for the last few months of the previous year... May be good to know for next year. (Also handy for anything you were tracking from the year before... Pay periods, etc.) Overall, really gorgeous, vivid pictures. Highly recommend!
