What...was...I...thinking?, May 15, 2008
This review is from: Carlene Carter - Live in London (DVD)
If you're reading this you're probably a Carlene Carter fan as I am and I mean this review as no disrespect to Carlene. In a perfect world, Carlene Carter would be a household word and certain "pop tarts" would have never seen the light of day.
However, this is a fuzzy, dim recording of Carlene singing at a club in London. It's one cut above watching the concert through a keyhole from another room. (The sound quality is rather good however; can't fault that)
What I was thinking is that the page for this product said that there's only one left, and I thought I had a chance at the last one, and no sooner had my order gone through then the page said that there were five left. So much for instant collectors' item.
And that wouldn't be so bad if the visual aspect of this DVD was more enjoyable. I could have done just as well by watching some Carlene Carter vids off of one of those big video sharing sights, you know I'm talkin' about. In fact, pieces of this concert can be viewed there.
So, I'm out $22 or so for something I've watched once and don't care ever watch again. The beautiful and talented Carlene Carter certainly deserves better.

Not what I hoped for, December 17, 2009
This review is from: Carlene Carter - Live in London (DVD)
I like Carlene Carter but did not like the music she was doing at the time of taping this. Her band is good and her singing is good. dissapointed in the instance of vulgarity. Wish I could find a DVD of her Austin City Limits appearence or some of the other concerts she did in the USA.
