I would put zero stars if I could. Do a google search on Carlisle tires and you will find that there are a lot of instances of these tires blowing out and damaging boat trailers, motorhomes, etc. I had one tire blow and then after it was fixed the other blew 2 miles down the road. They left my family stranded on the side of the road for hours. Carlisle offered me a new set and I declined. Why would I want something that will eventually fail again??? These are terrible tires. Buy at your own risk.

Good tire for the price,

I used these tires on my Mastercraft from Lake Alfred, Fl to lake Seminole, Fl and back with no problems. They ride very smooth, almost as good as but not as cheap as Trail America's from www.trailertirestore.com

Tires Did Not Last,
This review is from: Carlisle Sport Trail Bias Trailer Tires White Spoke Rims 5 Lugs 175/80 x 13 (Misc.)
I purchased a new trailer with 4 new Carlyle Sport Trail tires. The tires only lasted about 6,000 miles before the insides of the tires were completely worn away. On all 4 tires! Upon further research, I found that others have had strange wear patterns when running these tires that cause the tire to wear out prematurely. The guy at the local tire shop - where I had new tires put on this morning - referred to the Sport Trails as "junk" tires. Many Trailer manufacturers use them because they are cheap.
Very dis-appointed as I've had great success with other Carlyle tires in the past. |
