This is a great tire! I have a Husqvarna YTH2348 mower and the stock tires were just about only good for going on flat, smooth surfaces. Our yard is hilly and it was a challenge to get up the hills at times without spinning the tires - even when the yard was very dry! My neighbor took my mower for a test spin and it climbed the hills with ease with these tires.

I was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident in August 2009. I have really wanted to be able to mow the lawn again as it is something I have always enjoyed doing. The first step in me being able to mow the lawn was to fix the problem with the mower getting stuck or not being able to climb the hills. Now that the tires are replaced and this problem is solved, my next challenge is to be able to get on and off the mower and to be able to control the throttle and brake. One step at a time...

I now own a couple of tractors. My first tractor I bought a pair of 20" super lug tires. I have had nothing but amazing performance from them since the day I got them. So, I decided to replace those old turf savers on my other tractor with a pair of these again. These are very similar to those AG tires found on farm tractors. They have a deep tread in them that allow them to grip the ground. It literally bites into mud, water, soft sand, or even wet grass on a hill, and will plow you right through it with ease.

I have been very impressed by these. Usually these tires are very expensive too, I was able to get them off Amazon for an affordable price. And if that aint good enough for you, I elected for the super saver ground shipping option and I received my tires in two days! Best shipping in the world! I love Amazon and their products, that is why I always come back. Its experiences like this that make me want to keep coming back. Those turf savers arn't doing it for you, get a pair of super lugs!

I put these on my zero-turn mower for more traction on my hilly yard. These tires do provide better traction going down hill or side ways on a hill than the turf-type tires that came on the mower. You do need to go slow in turns to minimize the damage the lugs do to the grass. All in all, these tires are an improvement over turf-type tires. They can damage the grass if you are not careful, but the damage is less than that caused by skidding one turf-type tire down a hill while trying unsuccessfully to steer the lawnmower.

I rated this product a five star for the following reasons.
I purchased a riding mower to mow my yard which literally has no level places on it. I used to get so frustrated trying to mow because I had to make sure the conditions were perfect as not to have any moisture on the grass so I could get traction. Starting and stopping on my yard was an impossibility with regular turf tires. I had considered chains for my tires but chains leave marks on driveways and tear up grass. I needed a solution. Then I came across these tires at an excellent price. The shipping was fast and these tires are amazing. I can mow sections of my yard that I used to have to weed eat do to the steep grade. These tires are not hard on the grass. Occasionally they may slip a little when shifting weight not a big deal at all. The tires are proportioned for whatever size tire you are replacing. Order the exact size as the lugs are taken into consideration. . This Product is awesome!!!!! Mowing my yard went from being frustrating to fun. Wish I had purchased sooner. Oh my yard in places I have to put weight on the front of the mower to hold the front end down. these tires have not felled to get me to the top everytime.

BLUF: Excellent buy if you're not mowing a putting green.

Pros: Thick and burly. These tires are not flimsy, el cheapo sneakers; they are the real four-ply deal. The sidewalls as well as centers are quite thick and very tough. Massive lugs that will not slip easily. Not recommended for pristine, Better-Homes-And-Gardens style lawns but perfect for large acreage and rough and/or muddy terrain. Simply put, I have not slimed these yet mainly because, I don't think I'll have to. If I need to add slime later, I will but as of now (after mowing well over one acre of mesquite thorn - infested thicket) I have had no punctures. That, in itself, is mind blowing given my history of tire punctures on my property.

Cons: Huge, gnarly lugs that will turn your beautiful, designer - breed, Poa Annua golf greens to mud (or will be awesome in your hilly, muddy lawn.... YMMV). Only slightly more difficult to mount by hand than a standard small-lug turf-friendly lawn tractor tire. The sidewalls are considerably thicker so a little more effort was needed but not difficult at all. Which leads me to my (as promised) how-to on manual tire mounting:

How to mount these tires by hand:

DISCLAIMER: WEAR EYE PROTECTION and read this write-up in its entirety before starting. If you don't think you can pull this off, STOP and bring your tires and rims to a qualified shop capable of performing the mounting. You assume all responsibilities for your actions in following this tutorial. This is simply how I do it and have done it for years. I've mounted motorcycle tires, trailer tires, ATV tires and small tractor tires with this method.

IMPORTANT: Clean and prep your old rims. Make sure the bead area (area where tire and rim touch) is smooth and clean.
