I have gone through several gates with my Golden Retriever puppy. Most of them didn't fit the spaces I had, or he managed to jump over them. I knew this one wasn't the tallest out there, but it read like it was durable, would fit my space and any other space I could come up with, and was overall perfect. I was right! My dog hasn't tried to jump over it, even though he could, I think he just respects it for some reason. But that's not why it's perfect. It's perfect because of it's flexibility, durability, and length. I have it stretched across a 10 feet area of my attached garage so that my dog can have some extra play and "hurry up" space out there during the day while I'm at work. I have it for a few months now and have no problems with the actual gate. The only issue I recently found is that the screws on one end didn't stay in the drywall, but I'm not faulting the gate for that. That is just an fyi for all you potential customers. I absolutely favor this gate over any other gate I've ever bought (and like I said, I've tried many) and I would buy it again. I would also recommend it to others, for baby or pet use.

This gate has been great for us. We did have to tape the larger gate door shut because our dog was smart enough to pry it open. However, I love the way it anchors to the wall. We can easily snap it open and shut at the wall mount. And it folds up nicely against the wall. The flexibility of the gate prevents the dog from breaking it lose from the wall. The cat door works fine. I'm looking to buy 2 more for our new home.

First off, it's advertised as white, but in actuality it's more of a beige color; not a big deal, but seriously, just advertise it as its right color. Secondly, the joints to the gate are plastic. Now why they are made out of plastic, I have no idea, but it's a horrible one. This is supposed to keep my dog in a specified area and the joints are plastic? They easily snap in half, which happened twice with me. Also, if you still want to order this item after my review, just know that my dog learned how to climb over the gate using the horizontal bar that's above the mini gate as a stepping stool to get over. All-in-all, awesome price, because it was cheap, but there are several reasons why it's so cheap.

We purchased this flexi pet gate to keep our cat from rushing to the front door and inadvertently getting out. We had to block off an L-shaped area and this worked great. Surprisingly sturdy, and high enough that even our big maine coon has not attempted to jump over it. It's nice to have the door to walk through. We are going to purchase the extension gate to create a larger area for the entrance.

We have a 5 month old Doberman puppy that will soon have to be left alone for long periods. We didn't want him to be cooped up in his crate so we installed this gate to give him the whole kitchen to roam around and play in. So far it has held up really well. He's only recently begun putting his paws up on it, and is immediately given the "off" command when he does so, but the gate hasn't shown any signs of breaking when he does this. I had read some reviews that people had issues with the plastic joiner pieces breaking...they won't break if you're just smart enough to loosen them before you try to move the gate's position. We did have some problems installing it but that was more an issue of the crappy construction of our rental's walls than the gate. The only real complaint I have is that it can be a bit of a hassle to take apart to fold and store when you don't want it up. But with the gate we don't have to do that often. So far we love this product!

I thought I was purchasing a Carlson pet gate. The item description and the packaging stated that the gate was white. The gate I received is a tan/brown. I strongly suspect that the gate I received was generic and not a Carlson brand. The gate is very flimsy and the latch does not work correctly. There are two stickers, which read Carlson, on the latch, but I believe these stickers were created and placed on the gate so that it appears to be of that brand. The gate pieces are three different colors. Nothing matches. I have other Carlson gates and they are very sturdy and good quality. This gate is a knock-off and somebody is using the Carlson name on their generic product.

This gate has changed my life. The space between my living room and kitchen was impossible to separate before. It is sturdy enough to hold up to my two hundred pound dogs. One even tries to fit through the cat door, but I know it isn't going anywhere. I wish the door in it was a little wider, my hips touch both sides when I walk straight through and I'm not fat. Also, I wish there was some way to take it down when I have guests that wouldn't involve unscrewing it. But, even with those complaints the two carlson gates I own are the best, sturdiest, most efficient, most grown up gates I have ever seen!

This gate is flexible and sturdy, it works great to keep our dog contained where we want him.

I bought this gate because it was the only gate that would extend long enough to fit across my kitchen. The first time I ordered it, the plastic was broken on the edges, bars were popping out everywhere, and it was completely unusable. I waited over a month to get a replacement and it was broken again! I gave up trying to purchase another one after that. If it can't handle the shipping process then it won't stand up to my two lab puppies! This is too cheap and a waste of your money. Do not buy.
