I will review this as a pro con situation.

Pro: The metal rods are sturdy, easy to place in normal backyard soil. The rackets look and feel strong, unlike most other badmitten rackets which normally break easily for me. I see them lasting for at least a couple years. The last pro would have to be those plastic stakes, they are nice and thick compared to some others that have come with a tent setup before.

Con: I broke one end of the net just trying to set it up. Then a couple of weeks later while in use, the net got brushed and the other side broke. Had to tie that end off as well. Also the strings that are used to tie off the stakes are also weak. One of them broke and I had to tie a knot in that as well. The burdies have a form head, they are easily caught by the slightest wind and have no distance capabillities what so ever. We were having a difficult time just trying to hit it over the net.

Other thoughts: Would I recommend this to friends? No, honestly I would not. You are paying $40 dollars for the rackets and metal poles, everything else is junk. I refuse to take this down until the summer is over because I have a feeling I will not be able to put it back up without breaking the net beyond repair. I give this product two stars for it's durable rackets and metal poles. If I were to buy these such items seperate for $15-20 then I would give them a full five star rating. After a day of use I got tired of using the burdies that came with this product and went out to walmart to buy a pack of six rubber ended shuttlecocks for less then $2, and the crazy thing is, not one of them even has a tear in the webbing even after weeks of constant use.

One other thing I will mention, I saw a nice badminton set at a local store for less then $30 dollars with a strong looking net with everything else as well. Would I buy it instead of this if I had the chance? Yes I would!

Aside from the rackets, this set is complete garbage! In setting up the net, the first pole bent immediately when inserting into pretty soft ground... then broke. The second pole did the same (broke) and thus we had nice rackets, shuttle cocks, and NO NET. If I could locate all of the packaging I would absolutely return this item. If you are looking for rackets and shuttle cocks, this is an overpriced set, if you are looking for a complete set, look elsewhere.

Once again, we continue to be impressed with not only the price, but also the speed and professionalism our purhases at Amazon are handled. Quality of the item is excellent, and our satisfaction with Amazon's service is the highest !

Great beginner set with all necessary items to setup and play. Carrying case is also very useful. We have used the set a few times so far and everything seems to be of a high quality.

This is a decent set -- better than the Walmart version, but not designed for heavy-duty use. The poles bend fairly easily, when pounding into the ground or moving from one location to another. The rackets and shuttle cocks are of decent quality. The net was flimsy, especially the strings used to secure it to the poles. Same with the strings for the stakes. Not very strong. So not great for kids and crowds. Ours didn't survive a cookout. But we bought a new one and were quickly back in business. Overall, decent product for the money.

The rackets and posts are suitable for backyard play, but the net construction and assembly are poor. The string breaks easily, and the posts lack the proper holes and/or alignment for threading the anchor strings.

Had loads of fun with this set (first set did not come with a net, so I sent it back and got a complete set) over a recent family holiday. Everything works well and the rackets are fairly durable, even in the hands of my 6 yr old "Ninja." Good value.

This is a very nice badminton set. Excellent backyard family fun. Probably on the upper end for casual family games.

i am not going to waste time with logistics. don't buy this item- it pure crap- the net has no support, it breaks easily and it must have cost $5 to make this entire package- its products like this that are starting to make me think twice about my purchases on amazon (which are many). i wish amazon would do a better job of protecting its better customers from buying crap like this.

We have not been able to use this set yet living in MN cold and snow, but have played with this before and therefore purchased it as a gift. Also the colers match the college colors af the recipient, she loved that.
