After 14 years,Carly's back on tour.I wanted to see this concert live so bad,and Carly was performing near my home town,but I got hurt at work in 1995,and tour my knee to bits.I was so glad when this show was played on "Life Time for Women," and got the video when it came out. Carly looks fantastic,and never sounded better.This was such a great idea,to perform while people are going to there trains.They said everyone missed there ride that day,I can see why.Carly does alot of the songs she didn't sing on her first HBO special,like "Legend in your own time,Jessie," and Carly's first hit,"That's the way I always heard it should be." Carly was touring for her "Letters never sent" album.I love "Touched by the sun," about Carly's good friend,Jackie Kennedy,who just died a year before this show. I can't understand why this song wasen't a huge hit."Davy" is also great. I have all three of Carly's Video's,everyone is different,and I Cherish them along with all my CD's and albums.I hope Carly tours for her new record,"The Bedroom tapes." Its already fallen off the charts and needs some promotion to get everyone into this wonderfull new Album.

This video catches Carly Simon doing what she does best: making her listeners happy while relating to the emotions contained in her super compositions. She rocks, she reggaes, she croons. The musicians playing behind her were evidently very familiar with these songs--great accompaniment. Carly quickly reminds the listener how good SHE is on guitar and keyboard too. She is on top of her singing game in this concert as well. Like, sweep me off my feet..... Last but way not least, whoever engineered the miking of the concert did a fabulous job. Stereo imaging and range were perfect--especially for a giant echo chamber like GCS. Carly's apparent happiness to be there is captured just right, and it's infectious! You will smile a lot, but you probably won't sit still!

I really love the dreamy quality of this show, looks and sounds great! Carly gives an amazing performance and in the middle of Grand Central! She is a superstar!

I SAW THIS CONCERT ON TV. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS SO INCREDIBLY GREAT CONSIDERING IT WAS LIVE. SHE WAS WONDERFUL TO WATCH AND THE MUSIC WAS AS GOOD AS A CD. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SO WAS THE MUSIC.

This is one of my favoite concerts and it is my boyfriend's absolute favorite. It is Carly Simon live and at her best. I keep looking for this in DVD format as we do not have VHS player anymore but, alas, nothing. We really miss seeing this and think that this particular concert would be great in DVD.
