Pretty Good for an Old Game,

I had some Windows XP compatability issues with both of these games, though I was finally able to solve them. For Carmageddon 2, I had to go into the program folder, right-click on the file Carma2_HW, and set it to Windows 95 compatability mode. For TDR 2000, I had to disable some of the 3D features on the video card in the setup menu. Now they both work fine. However, they should have included some XP patches with the game.
Considering that these games are 10 years old, they're actually quite a lot of fun. TDR 2000 has a lot of timed missions that can be a little annoying, but Carmageddon 2 is awesome, especially if you're into racing games. If you don't like a lot of blood and guts, in the menu there is an option to turn it off. In TDR 2000 you can exclude pedestrians altogether. |
