Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The year is 2026 and fatal toxins have polluted Earth's atmosphere. Those humans lucky enough to get to the climate emulation centers in time live in fear of the souls left on the surface--the undead. The world government has recruited drivers to deal with this problem. It's called the Carmageddon, a death race in which drivers race against each other for the ultimate prize: a new life in the sun-drenched beaches of the off-world colonies. As well as a way of dealing with the undead, it provides entertainment for the dwindling human population. You take on this challenge as Max Damage, a psychotic, cold-blooded killing machine. There is no second place--just life or death. Drive to survive and let nothing and no one get in your way.

1.0 out of 5 stars Run for your life. Seriously., September 5, 2000

I thought this game was going to be like the PC version. Oh, god no. No pedestrians to run over. No way to leave tire tracks in blood. No way of knowing WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ON THE SCREEN at any given time. No way of controlling your car. No joy. No fun. No seasons in the sun. Just misery, and fifty bucks down the drain.

1.0 out of 5 stars deserves no stars, November 3, 2000
This review is from: Carmageddon (Game Cartridge)
Cuz this game should not have been made. It is the most poor excuse for a pc to home console port available. My friends and I, well we liked the PC version of this game. It was a bloody, pointless, mindless game but it was fun. This game isn't bloody, it has zombies that appear to have bad throat infections cuz they spill this green stuff when you hit them and they disappear. Where'd they go? we expected something that was at least entertaining but we got zombies that evaporate when touched. Lost is all of the good that was Carmageddon for PC and we end up w/ the one of the worst games by one of the worst software houses ever, Titus. Take a quick pick and see what Titus has done and you'll think they need to retire from software programming and become shoe salesmen. This game should have never been made especially on the n64 which is a kiddie console and loathes the sight of blood. Don't buy this game, don't even rent this game cuz you will waste your'e money and will agree that Titus is the WORST developer of all time, PERIOD.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worst Copy of Carmageddon Ever, June 16, 2000

I have played many versions of Carmageddon, the first one and the second one as well. Carmageddon 64 is the worst Carmageddon game ever created. There are many graphic glitches, the controls are really hard and most features are limited. The car feels like a boat, the turns are hard to make, and it's just not as fun as the other editions. Even though, it's still an ok game.
