About the Author

Keith Egan holds the Joyce McMahon Hank Aquinas Chair in Catholic Theology at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, IN. He is also adjunct full professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame. His doctorate is from the University of Cambridge, England. Keith J. Egan is a past recipient of a Lily Endowment for religious studies. He is also a corresponding Fellow of the Institutum Carmelitanum in Rome and a member of the North American Carmelite Forum. He has published widely on Christian and Carmelite Spirituality and has lectured throughout North America and various countries in Europe.

More About the Author

Keith J. Egan is Adjunct Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame since 1983. In 1984 he founded and directed the Center for Spirituality at Saint Mary's College and is the college's Aquinas Chair in Catholic Theology Emeritus. Dr. Egan's doctorate is from the University of Cambridge, England. He is past president of the College Theology Society and of the Carmelite Institute (2007-2012). He is a charter member of the North American Carmelite Forum as well as a Corresponding fellow of the Institutum Carmelitanum, Rome. Dr. Egan has lectured widely throughout North America and in Rome, England and Ireland. He has published extensively on Christian Spirituality and Mysticism especially on Carmelite Spirituality.
