It's heavy metal just like they've always been. If you've never heard Sacred Steel, you can't go wrong with any of their albums. Carnage Victory is great. You'd probably appreciate it more if you've heard some of their previous albums. I got them all in order as they were available even their weakest is better than most metal bands strongest. Including Iced Earth, who I love. Remember Sanctuary before they became Nevermore? Sacred Steel's first cd kinda reminds me of them, then they get heavier. After years of listening to this band and now that they've put out enough CDs I can honestly say they are in my top 3 favorite bands ever and Carnage Victory does not disappoint. Not going to describe the music, other reviews will do that. If it wasn't for other Sacred Steel CDs I'd have rated this 5 stars. It does deserve it. Other Sacred Steel CDs deserve it too, too bad their isn't a hidden bonus star for super awesome albums. I actually feel bad giving this four stars, it's too low. Wargods of Metal is too good to give them both five though. About half their albums should be five stars the rest just four.
