First concert tour,

This DVD was the first of Patricia Kaas's concert DVDs. It is focused around her 1990 concert tour, at age 25, 3 years after her first album. The DVD is shorter than usual at 50 minutes, containing 11 songs, recorded at the Zenith theater in Paris. Half are from her first album, Mademoiselle chante les blues, and half from her second, Scene de vie.
The presentation differs from most concert DVDs. Most DVDs give a continuous viewing of the concert, and, separately, the bonus offers commentary and remarks by the performer and the group. Here a short commentary by Patricia or a member of the group is interspersed between each song, along with shots of the tour at other locations, particularly Russia and Morocco. This gives a somewhat more intimate air to the presentation of the concert, as if it is more of a conversation with Patricia. |
