Carney presents a very good, if not watered down, collection of cases, essays, and questions on Mergers and Acquisitions. He does insert a lot of his scholarship between the covers however - and he isn't the best M & E mind out there. (But who am I, a Law Student, to make such an assertion).

This review is from: Carney's Mergers and Acquisitions: Cases and Materials (University Casebook Series) (Hardcover)
Carney presents a very good, if not watered down, collection of cases, essays, and questions on Mergers and Acquisitions. He does insert a lot of his scholarship between the covers however - and he isn't the best M & E mind out there. (But who am I, a Law Student, to make such an assertion).

It's relatively short considering the size of the subject covered and gives no primer in basic economics which the Gilson book does. I find that to be a major mistake in an otherwise competent book.

If you really want to learn the subject, get Gilson. The only thing that sets this book apart is that it is up to date and still in print.
