Review
Picture, if you can, a painting done in a collaboration between Heironymous Bosch and Norman Rockwell. While you're viewing that painting, hear in your mind's ear Beethoven's Ninth performed by a speed freak on a Mog Synthesizer. You are now ready for the impact of John F. Carr's
Carnifex Mardi Gras.
It has the power and strength that is so unforgettble that you will not be the same person after having read it. Certain scenes stand out as though they had been permanently Xeroxed on your brain. Beware the redheaded dwarf with the silver phallus. Beware the King of Dwarves. And most importantly, beware the Crying Clown. -- Kathleen Sky
