About the Author

Larry 'Sparky' Thorne, writer, entertainer, record producer, artist, and dive instructor, returned to America in 1998 after surviving nine years on a tiny island in the southern Caribbean.

When he wasn't diving or performing for international tourists he spent his time soaking up the stories and myths of the local culture. He immersed himself in the language befriending a colorful array of characters that became an important part of his everyday life.

Sparky and his wife currently reside in Panama City Beach, FL where they own and operate a Caribbean fine-dining restaurant called the Hurricane Grille.
