5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Prime, bad for wallet August 17, 2012
Jon Pertwee has always been my favorite Doctor. Especially since I got to meet him and Elisabeth Sladen in the late '80s. I've had a Prime Membership here for almost 10 straight years, mainly due to all the purchasing I do with Amazon. It was an added perk when they added video streaming to the Membership, and I have really been enjoying it. Up until a few days ago.

I have been slowly working my way through all the Classic episodes that have survived (what a disaster the loss of all those great Doctor Who shows is!). I had just finished watching "The Three Doctors" (one of the best all-time episodes, imo), and was about to proceed to the next episode, when this season suddenly fell out of the Prime Membership Catalog.

From what I can tell, it's the only Classic Doctor Who season that's no longer available to Prime Members. The reply I received from Amazon to my inquiry of this did little more than confirm my own observations.

That being said, while these are great to be able to stream for free under a Prime Membership, they just aren't worth $1.99 for a 25 minute episode. If this doesn't return to the Prime Catalog, you'd be better off investing that money on the paperback of "The Three Doctors" and going on to Season 12 (the next available season).

I hope that whatever licensing issue has arisen is speedily dealt with so this season can be returned to the Prime Membership Catalog.

This was a great episode. I love how all the different actors had such good chemistry together - you can tell they're all having fun with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watched this with my 11 year old son March 4, 2013

I recently introduced my 11 year old to the greatness of Dr. Who. Started him off with Tom Baker, and thought this season would be a great way to introduce him to the 1st three Doctors. Great time bonding with him over some of the memories of my youth, laughing at the cheesy special effects, but nonetheless enjoying the story immensely.
