Simon Dawes is bringing back real music. This album is amazing all the way through. You won't take it out of your cd player... Trust me. They are going to be huge. If they don't become an epic new band, then there is something wrong with the world. Their music is a flashback to the Stones and Bowie, to name a few of their great influences. Buy this album, you won't be sorry.

there is more talent in this band than in most of the new acts combined. great songwriting, awesome vocals, and really original guitar playing. the lead guitarist can use a slide like no one i've ever seen before. i think they are potentially one of the great bands of our time.

I just saw these guys live. First, the product description of this album is poor. The person that wrote it obviously never heard them live. They have great vocals with lyrics that are well thought out, deep with experience for such a young age, and executed with enough intensity to capture the attention of people sitting 75 yards away from the stage in the back of a dark room. The guitarist is downright gifted. He and the lead singer also played with Band of Horses (the headliner). They added several meaningful dimensions to their music that wasn't captured in the album, "Everything All the Time". This band will become important after a couple of more tours. All the indie subpop kids will start hearing the name "Simon Dawes" but unfortunately, an appreciation of non-repetitive structures and different time signatures other than the boring old "4/4" will only be afterthoughts of why this band is so talented.
