Carnivore - a thrash metal band formed by Peter Steele (Type O Negative) in 1982. The album has traditionally metal-sounding, drawing inspiration from Black Sabbath and 1970s Judas Priest. Based primarily around the concept of life after a thermonuclear war, ''Carnivore'' thrust its listener into a corrupt society where rage, murder and cannibalism were accepted as means of survival. Limited to 2000 numbered copies.

I had the original cassette (Yeah you heard me, CASSETTE TAPE!!!) of this album I bought New in the 80's. Since this release, I was curious to hear the bonus tracks, so I bought this. It is just as awesome as the cassette tape I had owned and wore down to hell! A must buy for any TRUE fan of Carnivore, as Pete Steele vocals are quite mean & raw in his pre Type O days!

Nothing, absolutely nothing does as much bloody violence against those pesky neighbors as this masterpiece of musical holocaust! Not MOTORHEAD, CELTIC FROST, SLAYER, no one! CARNIVORE is unequaled in it's torturous menace! I remember playing this album at full volume, shredding the precious eardrums of the unsuspecting! My all-time favorite metal songs are THERMONUCLEAR WARRIOR and WORLD WARS III AND IV! I lost friends over this baby, but who cares? It was worth it...
