I had the original cassette (Yeah you heard me, CASSETTE TAPE!!!) of this album I bought New in the 80's. Since this release, I was curious to hear the bonus tracks, so I bought this. It is just as awesome as the cassette tape I had owned and wore down to hell! A must buy for any TRUE fan of Carnivore, as Pete Steele vocals are quite mean & raw in his pre Type O days!

While not as good as their second (and last) album, and not as good as Type O Negative, this is an almost excellent debut album from Carnivore. If you like offensive-for-the-sake-of-being-offensive metal like MOD or SOD, this is right up your alley. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because I need to be in the mood for this kind of goofy stuff, and Stormtroopers Of Death is frankly better. Still, it rocks hard, it's never boring and the lyrics are very funny. This is Peter Steele & Co. in full-fledged thrash mode, so even if you're into the more successful bands of the 80s era, give this a spin. These particular 2008 editions are limited in quantity (2,000 copies of each pressed), so get 'em before they disappear.
