The American Boychoir under the skillful direction of Dr. James Litton continues their long-standing tradition of producing fine recordings. This delightful holiday album features the best known and loved holiday favorites. "O Holy Night" and "Silent Night" are only 2 of the beautiful songs heard on this album. The SATB arrangements are beautifully sung and bring all the beauty and childhood magic of Christmas into crystal-clear focus. What more beautiful sound is there at Christmas than the pure, innocent voices of children raised in jubilant song? It is truely a heart-warming album of unparalelled beauty. No holiday music collection is complete without these beautiful songs angelically sung by the American Boychoir.

After hearing this album my neighbor commented, "This is simply the best Christmas CD ever." I concur.

Highly recommended for fans of traditional Christmas carols. Included is the wonderful Jessye's Carol (This Christmastide), written for Jessye Norman, who included the Boychoir on her recording of the song. If you love traditional Christmas carols you will love this album - buy it!

This is a wonderful Christmas CD and if you like this type of music, I suggest you also check out "Northwest Boychoir, Our Finest Gifts". Just as good and maybe even a bit better recorded.

I bought this two or three years ago, and I listen to it throughout every Christmas season. It's so beautiful and doesn't get old.

This CD is amazing. The American Boy Choir have wonderful voices. I got it because I was looking for the song caled "The Carol of the Bells" that is in the beginning of the movie The Santa Clause. I can't wait to listen to the whole cd during the Christmas season.

The one Christmas concert I went to last year was the American Boychoir. The talent in this group is amazing. Never a missed beat or a dull moment. I purchased this CD (Carol) after the concert. This is a good solid recording with many sesonal standards. Well worth the purchase price! If you want a good Hoiday recording and are on a tight budget as many of us are these days, this is the recording that I would recommend.

This is one of my very favorite Christmas CD's which was recorded nearby my home in Princeton University Chapel using the local bells and pipe organ. Since I have been captivated by this local choir which is enjoyed internationally, I frequently seek out its vocal charms which represent a special sound not found outside of boy choirs. The transcendence of their message, and the earnest expression of their great love for music is what makes their concerts so special. This CD captures the boy choir concert experience beautifully. Do not expect to hear any second-rate music; high standards of excellence are maintained. The details of the orchestration and accompaniments are similarly meticulous. This CD would make a lovely Christmas gift to enjoy for years to come. Children are expecially enchanted by the lively and complex arrangements of Deck The Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Lovely peaceful numbers such as Silent Night and Away in the Manger are excellent bedtime choices. Bryan's Song is nostalgic and heart-felt. In their concerts, this is the number where the alumni joins the choir on stage to relive the beautiful memories of sharing Christmas music.
