From the Fall of 1974...
Show #1: Carol begins her Eighth Season with "good luck charm" Jim Nabors as guest. Included: An early "family" sketch has Eunice, Ed & Mama (Carol, Harvey, Vicki) inspired by a church sermon which quickly gets lost on them; a housewife (Carol) is abandoned by family & friends because her choice of toilet paper isn't soft enough(!!); Nabors belts out a tune; a couple (Carol, Harvey) obsesses over body imperfections; a customer (Nabors) gets into a game of "draw" in an arcade which becomes a bit too real; and the show wraps up with a musical-comedy ode to drummers.
Show #2: "Kojak" star Telly Savalas & the irreverently funny Smothers Brothers are the guests. Included: A familiar "sibling rivalry" comedy routine from the Smothers as they bicker over how a song should be sung; Brother Jack (Tommy) gets an unwanted hospital visit from sister Eunice & "family" before his surgery (watch for Vicki Lawrence accidentally shifting Tommy's wig askew); Savalas shows his versatility as he does a sentimental song; a montage of funny T.V. commercial spoofs; Two men (Harvey, Telly) talk "mergers" & business over drinks, which soon turns into a tawdry soap opera; and a "Casbah" movie spoof caps the show.
Sorry...there's no Tim Conway in this volume, but it's still pretty good!

These shows never really get old. Television shows of the past are worth keeping. I bought this for my dad. He loves it. He has watched them over and over.
