Emmy Rossum is the 21-year-old beauty best known for her role as Christine in the film version of "Phantom of the Opera." This three-song single also includes "Oh Holy Night" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas."

Blessed with a lovely, powerful voice, Rossum's performance is restrained and spot on. While many of her contemporaries make the mistake of over-singing, and end up ruining a well-written melody with flashy vocal gymnastics, Rossum lets the songs speak for themselves. Her phrasing and tone are nearly perfect.

Her wonderful version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is one of the few that uses the song's original, more melancholy lyrics. Judy Garland would be proud.

Hopefully she'll release an entire album of Christmas music next year.

This collection of holiday songs by Emmy Rossum is just wonderful! I hope she puts a complete Christmas album out next year, because these 3 songs are a home run! Great work Emmy! They are 3 of my favorites and they are done just beautifully!

I was so surprised to learn Emmy would have this holiday LP being that she just released her debut album "Inside Out" in October. The songs are wonderful and I wish there were more of them. "Carol of The Bells" is done in that beautiful layering of voice style she has on her debut album. It fits perfectly with that song. "O Holy Night" is mostly one strong vocal with a tiny bit of layering near the end. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is one solid beautiful vocal. Well done Emmy!

Definitely worth the cheap price. Once Christmas time comes around, definitely throw this one on. Adds a beautiful background "Christmas-y" mood.
