This desk broke the first day it was in my house! The drawer is actually supposed to pull out (for a computer keyboard, presumably) -- the drawer face is supposed to rotate out 45 degrees to lay parallel to the drawer's bottom. Upon receiving the desk, however, I couldn't get the drawer to open -- until the whole desk face CAME OFF in my hand. Wouldn't purchase it again, or recommend it to anyone.

I had (3) of these units delivered as each one was broken in transit. Finally AMAZON declared the unit non-deliverable. Looks good but badly constructed. Scared to place anything on the desk as the desk looked like it would collapse.

I returned this desk. It is made of very cheap material. It arrived with a split leg, cracked corner and broken drawer. It did not hold up well to the shipping - but it is fiberboard (or least it appears to be). I would not recommend this desk.

I was concerned about the reviews on this desk but did notice that most of the poor reviews were many years old and the newer reviews were better. So I took a chance and I am glad I did. I was looking for a desk that was not pure white. The antique parchment color is a creamy white with a very slight hint of green (depending on the lighting). It is a distressed finish but not too distressed.

My only issue with the desk is the hinge attachment for the drop-down door front. It is poorly designed and one hinge actually came off while I was assembling the desk. However, I liked the desk so much that I reattached the hinges using small finish bolts (through the drawer bottom) instead of the screws that were used. It is now much sturdier that the original design and did not affect the look of the desk at all.

I matched the desk up with the Folding Chair with Wicker Accent in Antique Buttermilk Finish. The color is not exact, but very close (much closer than the pictures look) and they look great together.

I found the construction was very good. No problems with the quality of the wood of the desk body or legs. Easy to assemble. All the screws went in without a problem. The drawer works fine.

My only surprise was the desk is actually a light celery green, not antique parchment as the color option on the website indicated. The picture of the furniture on the website looks white or off white. To me the color antique parchment is in the yellow or beige family, not green.

However, because the color also works for the space, I plan to keep it.

Love it - was easy to assemble - looks great. Very sturdy. Bought for my son to use with his laptop - he is very pleased with it.

I was rather surprised by the negative reviews of this desk. I wanted a small colonial style desk for light use, and this one looked nice and was just the right size.
When it arrived I was pleased by its solidity and the way it all fit together.
A nice desk, at a great price. It was also very well-packed and easy to put together.

I first saw this exact same table on another site for considerably more money. I was thrilled when I found it at Amazon because it was quite a bit cheaper and the shipping was free.

I received the table exactly when they said I would. It was in excellent condition, very easy to assemble, and it's absolutely charming. It looks much better than its picture.
