I caught the video for "Knockin" on Neil Gaiman's blog, and was just blown away by their sound. The vocals are unusual and wonderful; the blend with the percussion and other instruments gets your toes tapping immediately. I checked out the band's website and got hooked on their sound in about 2 seconds. I'm a big fan of Keb' Mo' and these guys remind me a little of that sunny, joyful music. There's a little bit of cajun and funk going on here, too. Love it!

I've seen them in concert twice and I will drop anything and see them again.
The addition of the Luminescent Orchistrii is phenomenal. The bands just click and everything flows together.
If Knockin' starts playing... I can't help but smile. AMAZING track!

I just got int CCD when I saw them at Bonaroo last year. I listened to all their stuff, and this CD is just as good as everything else. Its a little on the expensive side for just 4 songs and a couple were songs already done before, but overall I was pretty happy, adding Luminescent Orchestrii to the songs was refreshing.

I am so glad I stumbled upon this CD. All four tracks are fabulous, but why stop at four? Please give us more. I am anxious to see the CCD perform this summer in concert. Fresh, creative and voices so pure. Thank you.

The infectious beats, incredible things going on as each track plays, I've gotten all of these tracks in my head and I can't get them out. Incredible, refreshing, the Carolina Chocolate Drops are wonderful all by themselves, but this collaboration takes things to a whole new level. I would love to see these folks play together, having seen the Carolina Chocolate Drops in concert gave me a new appreciation for the music I already liked, these groups together would be unbelievable. I just wish there were a hundred other tracks out there...

I thought I was getting a regular CD when I received notice that Carolina Chocolate Drops had a new CD> Turns out this was a special session, and there are only 4 numbers on the CD. I think this should have been mentioned when I got the notification of the CD release.
