i love this disc! a live recording of a service at harvard university, the choir is gorgeous, the choice of music varied and high quality. from palestrina to a haunting new piece by american composer peter niedmann, every carol adds to the experience so by the end, you feel sated and ready to go home and have some hot cider with your friends. buy this record, and you won't be disappointed!merry christmas!!

Carols from the Yard: The Eighty Fifth-Annual Carol Service at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA is my most favorite Christmas CD. The carols sung by the choir are beautiful, and the words recited by Reverand Peter Gomes are very inspiring (the timbre of Reverand Gomes's voice is also simply marvelous). Sadly, Reverand Gomes died this past year. I collected enough CD's from Amazon to give this recording to all my family. Hope you are so lucky!
