Carpet Pro CPU-85T Commercial Upright Vacuum Cleaner w/On-Board

This vacuum is absolutely EXCELLENT! My wife and I made the mistake of buying our previous vacuum without checking the reviews; we bought a Eureka "Whirlwind." We purchased the Eureka, only six months ago. Neither of us had any idea about Eureka's horrible track record. Suffice it to say that our Eureka worked good out of the box, and then literally reduced in performance with each use, until - after only six months - it just had no suction.

So, I did my research this time and bought this one, the Carpet Pro CPU-85T. I paid $119.00 on Amazon from "TheVacuumSupplyStore" and received it very quickly. It was impressive from the very beginning.

First, it took less than five minutes to "assemble" it, which simply involved attaching the handle and "on board tools."

Second, the vacuum shipped with two free bags, something I did not expect. I just expected no bags would be included, so I ordered a whole bag of "Panasonic upright vacuum bags" ahead of time (Panasonic sells them in larger batches, for less, an they fit just fine). So, I went to put in one of the two free bags they had included and was pleasantly surprised that they had actually shipped three free bags and had already installed one! That was great! I was ready to vacuum right away.


Third, as far as its vacuuming quality, IT IS WONDERFUL! It is SO SMOOTH! Also, the design is very convenient. It is hard to explain, but they sort of jack up the back of the vacuum, so when you go to push it, it is very easy to handle.


Fourth: The HOSE IS LIKE BUTTER!!! My wife and I both use the vacuum hose to vacuum our bed, drapes, wall, etc...so we use the hose a lot. Our Eureka hose was horrible. Every time you tried to reach up to vacuum the drapes or reach over to vacuum the bed, the whole vacuum would fall over onto you. It just had no give. The hose on this vacuum is unbelievably flexible. It is like butter. It simply rotates in your wrist and stretches as far as you want.


Fifth: The power cord is a thick gauge and robust.



Finally a word of advice: I love our vacuum very much....but here's some advice for you. I am pretty sure that the only difference between this vacuum, the CPU-85T & the CPU-75T is that the 75T has a head lamp in it and this one doesn't. The 85T says "Commercial" on it, and has no head lamp. Not a big deal, but if I could go back and order the 75T and get the headlight included, I would.

---you should verify that they are exactly the same otherwise. I am pretty sure, but you should double check.

Nice powerful vacuum. More powerful than previous vacuums that I've owned. It blows alot of air out of the top vent, which took me by suprise. The gust it lets out is powerful enough to push my drapes around. That doesn't bother me, but maybe it would if I had alot of loose papers laying around. I Don't have any pets so I can't comment on how well it picks up hair. Prompt shipping and good service from GoVacuum. All in all, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Also, don't know why amazon has a pic of a ceiling fan attachment? instead of the vacuum. This vacuum looks just like the CPU-75T.
