We bought this for our 8 year old son for Christmas. It wasn't too hard to put together and it works really well. The controllers are perfect for both large and small hands. The difficulty level is such that both novices and more experienced racers can both enjoy the standard layout. The cars will come off the track if you take the corners too fast (which is good, because otherwise there is absolutely no skill involved). I am impressed at how sturdy the track is. One of our cars suffered a bit of cosmetic body damage the first day, but it didn't affect its performance at all. The cats also enjoy chasing the cars around the track. We purchased this from Amazon because they had the lowest price we could find.
