The problem with this release is its shabby production. No composers are listed! The word 'Zarzuela' is mispelled three times (no, the title ZARAZUELA is not an AMAZON typo). Why do something if you're not going to (at least attempt) do it right? The whole thing is a shame that has no place in any classical music bin and it deserves to be out of circulation ASAP. [Ah! Did I mention the CD goes for less than 30 minutes?]I am sure these first-rate artists (i.e., Carreras, Berganza) would resent being marketed this way. Actually, you can find the same performances somewhere else at a decent price, and not released by some moron from Pismo Beach, California. Do not buy. |
