Music Mainly Inspired by THE RAGE: CARRIE 2,

Overall I'd say that this soundtrack is definitely worth buying, but it might not be satifying for all. I personally think the songs "Crazy Little Voices", "Quick Painless and Easy", Ressurection", "Year Of The Summer", "Sleep", "Looking Down The Barrel", and "Slower I Go" are alone worth buying the CD for. The rest however I didn't really care for, especially the song "Spark Somebody Up" by Budda Monk, which is insanely annoying and has nothing to do with the movie. Only 3 songs in the entire CD were actually in the movie. (Crazy Little Voices, Sleep,& Looking Down The Barrel) If Edel American Records put "13 Cats", "Teddy Boy Kung Foo Weapon", "Mad Love", "Backstabbing Liar", "Far Behind", and some score from the movie like they were "supposed" to, along with all the songs I mentioned before, the soundtrack would have been a definite winner. Considering the 2 songs by 13 Cats ( 13 cats and Teddy Boy Kung Foo Weapon) are in the movie but not yet released on CD by the group, putting them in the CD would've kinda helped us people out as well as the group. Anyway I had to go out and buy some of the songs that were not in Edel soundtrack which was a pain considering they could have just put them in the soundtrack like they were supposed to. In conclusion I'd have to say this soundtrack is good but it is not by any means faithful to the movie.

After I saw the movie, I was not sure of what music i would find on this CD. I was pleasently surprised. I have never heard of most of the bands on this CD but most did a great job with their contributions to this album. The first track, "Crazy Little Voices" by Ra, is my favourite. Some well known artists include Fear Factory and their song "Resurrection" which is plain and simply awesome. Type O Negative's song "Die With Me" is also a great track. Although I must say that I have only heard good stuff from both Fear Factory and Type O Negative. This CD was a nice surprise since I did not know what to expect. Sure the CD has its let downs but what album doesn't.

All the rage is "Laughter Lines" by SACK,
By A Customer
This review is from: Carrie 2: The Rage (Audio CD)
Most the songs on this CD are by excellent alternative bands, but the stand out song on the soundtrack is SACK's "Laughter Lines". They are touring with Morrissey on his 'Oye Esteban Tour' and they are simply great. This song was worth the price of the whole CD.

Where is the sixth star?,
This review is from: Carrie 2: The Rage (Audio CD)
I never thought a soundtrack could be so seductive, and at the same time, so addictive. This mastery of unheard-of bands all on one CD has put this fabulous album in a home in my CD player, and has added a few more bands to my list of favorites. With the very heavy grindstone guitar playing talents of the members of 5 X Down, 16 Volt, RA, and Type O Negative, this CD is a must-have for any heavy metal fan. Perhaps the highlight of this entire album is the monster rock ballad "Looking Down The Barrel" by 5 X Down, which very effectively illustrates the darkness of the movie. However, this fabulous album not only touches those fans of the hard, hard rock genre, but the fans of the lighter, calmer, crisper sounds with the breathtaking "Quick, Painless, And Easy" by Ivy, which gives you a type of sympathy for the doomed Rachel. Other tracks by Sack, Trailer Park Pam, Kate Shrock, and 10 Watt Mary give the same effect. And for the all-out alternative genre fans, there is the one fantastic track by L.A.X.. This song is a fast-paced alternative ballad with catchy lyrics, and a great beat to boot. However, with all the great pieces of art in life, there are the flukes. The fluke on this peerless album is the track by Buddha Monk. To be honest, I hate this song. Although the title of this track can relate to the movie in a way, it in no way goes along with the mood the other songs create. Bad decision of the record company, in my opinion. With twelve out of thirteen songs definitely being keepers on one CD, you can't go wrong by purchasing it. Perhaps the best thing about album is the use of the bands that are virtually unheard of. Most people count that as a bad thing on a soundtrack, but on this particular one, the bands they chose make you want to love, hate, and embrace Rachel Lang all at once, which is the purpose of a soundtrack; to finesse the movie that inspires it

This review is from: Carrie 2: The Rage (Audio CD)
After I went to see "The Rage-Carrie 2" w/ my half-sister & brother-in-law, I was not only impressed with the movie & its pointing out that some pranks done by people who don't understand you ( which i have been through enough already, by the way), i was impressed by the music from the movie, so i went 2 circuit city in my hometown of Lafayette,LA,only 2 discover that they didn't have it yet.and forgot all about it until i went shopping w/ my mom's Boyfriend in anaheim,CA, while looking 4 the "Bride of CHucky" (in which they ran out of at Wal-Mart) ifinally found the "Rage" soundtrack & bought it.as soon as igot home, popped it in the CD player, iwas veryimpressed by the musicthey put onthis. 1 of my fave tracks onthis was the one by Ra and another by Type O negative (who i love). so my advice 2 all gothic& industrial music lovers is GO OUT AND GET THIS SOUNDTRACK & BELIEVE ME,YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Carrie's Sister Loves to Rock!!!,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Carrie 2: The Rage (Audio CD)
I bought this CD for one reason only; I love the song, Crazy Little Voices! About 6 years ago, I made a movie called Saturday Night: University, and I used Crazy Little Voices as the end music, ever since then, I've loved it! I'm sure I'll like the other songs someday. I highly recommend THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 SOUNDTRACK!!!

As movie soundtracks go this isn't bad. Obviously not all the tracks are in the movie and that horrible "inspired by" tag should be here too. The disc is worth buying for Laughter Lines alone the rest of the tracks are medicore and pedistrien at best. Laughter Lines is by an Irish band Sack They are unbeatable

Nice cd.,
This review is from: Carrie 2: The Rage (Audio CD)
"The Rage:Carrie 2" was an excellent film,so after I saw the film and I had found out that there was a soundtrack, like usual,I had to have it.So last night I bought it,I was not dissapointed,I was glad that it all wasn't heavy metal stuff, but instead, there was peacful music, such as Kate Schrock's "Dark Love" and Type o negative's "die with me".Those are my two favorite songs. The song I don't like is by Ra,"Crazy little voices".But besides that one flaw,"Carrie 2" is an excellent soundtrack that deserves to be in everyone's collection.Enjoy it!
