USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 - I was an Airman on that deployment and remember it very well. I miss the travel. Discovery did a nice job, but wish they would have interviewed more crew members and made it into a series documentary. Still a nice shot of the real-life Navy. PBS did a similar documentary with "Carrier (USS Nimitz)". The Navy was a GREAT crash course on the ups and downs of life in general (service before self) - something this country could use more of in my opinion.

i was very pleased to receive 'carrier:fortress at sea' in such good condition as it was a christmas gift for my son who was on the USS carl vinson while this show was recorded for the discovery channel. he also was so happy and surprised to receive it...thanks amazon!
