4.0 out of 5 stars More fun than I realized, February 14, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Carriers at War: Fleet Carrier Operations in the Pacific 1941-1945 (3.5" disk)
I first got this game when I had a 386 machine running MS DOS. I didn't realize how to use all the nuances and variations available at first. As I played it more, the more fun the different scenarios became. The strike force and cover groups for your carriers are all important. This is one of SSG's best games. This company was famous for its monthly beautiful slick magazine with new ways to set up variations of its games.

Too bad we all went in for action shoot games instead of the various strategies available on the board simulation games. CAW was one of the ones that was closest to a modern game.

If you have access to an old machine and like WWII gaming, by all means get a copy of this old gem.
