The 1999 reprint is a "Facsimile reprint"; the pictures appear to be photocopies of the original photographs - the quality is not up to Dave Friedman's norm. Some of the photos can be found in other publications; so, do not purchase this book for the photographs. John Christy's narrative is informative and included a lot of stories/facts that I had not heard previously. It's style is very readable. If it were not for the pictures in the 1999 reprint, I would rate this book at 4 or 5 stars... |
