I just called carry-a-tune (813) 886-1955 (they have a website too) and they were soooo helpful.

Did you know, you get 12 free songs with this? And that you can buy them for only $3.95 each? And this program will actually practice you singing these songs, checking your pitch, grading you, etc. (They have good songs too from pop to jazz)

I really like the fact that it registers your pitch. (helps with ear training) You sing into the headset provided and it tells you what notes you're supposed to be singing and if you are hitting those notes. So very helpful.

Thanks for the great techinical support too :) I'm getting another one for a gift.

Oh, and the only difference between this version and the 2004 version is the box.

This might be helpful for a few people. When I installed on a machine running XP there were frequent failures when running the program. However, there's an easy fix that works for me- running it in Compatibility Mode for 98/Me. If you're unfamiliar with how to do that:
Right-click on the Singing Coach icon.
Left-click on "Properties"
Click the "Compatibility" tab
Click the box to check for "Run in Compatibility Mode for:"
Click the arrow on the right side of the blue box
Click "Windows 98/Me"
Click OK
Go run your program, hopefully it will work. It's a wonderful program if it does.
I also tried this on a machine running System 7 and couldn't make it work.
I don't have a machine running Vista to try it.

I have this software and actually thought it was great regardless of what your knowledge or skill level; however, it appears that [...] is no longer in business. I tried their website and tech support number that were included with my software and they are no longer working. Also be aware that I cannot get this to install on Windows 7. Too bad because it's a good training tool.

Not all features of product work with windows7. Plus when you click the link to go to their website it doesn't exist! Even if you enter it directly or do a search! Terribly disappointed!

I did not expect much as I realized that I should have ordered soon. As I prepared to go abroad I made arrangement for others to receive and forward the shipment for me.
The shipment arrived before I left and nothing was added to my travel anxiety.

The software is fun to watch. I hope that the next version provide ways to jump forward and backward for the users to keep using the tool.

I have not gone through my first round yet. I got stuck at some message like "microphone level too low". I could not find the way to go back to adjust the microphone level. I have to restart the software, I guess.

Did not learn anything in this software, I EVEN encountered technical issues after INSTALLING 6 times!
