4.0 out of 5 stars Serves Its Purpose
This case is good for the money. I read the reviews after I purchased it and felt I perhaps made a mistake in buying it. Many people gave this case an unfavorable review. One even said, "say goodbye to your GPS screen" alluding that it would break/crack against the cord when closed. Well, common sense told me to turn the GPS over so that the screen is protected...

1.0 out of 5 stars tomtom
charger does not fit into the case, so what a waste, still need to hold the charger separately, which is the only reason i bought it. Can only fit the tomtom device.

One even said, "say goodbye to your GPS screen" alluding that it would break/crack against the cord when closed. Well, common sense told me to turn the GPS over so that the screen is protected against the outer shell of the case. DA!! Everything fits neatly into it and is not a problem for me. The only thing that doesn't fit in the case is the suction holder for the windshield. No big deal. To sum it up, I am happy with my purchase.

This case will hold the charger and most 4.3" size gps units. The windshield mount and any other GPS stuff will need to go in the glove box.

I bought this case for my Garmin Nuvi 1300, and it works just fine for me. Its true that if you put your nose inside the case and smell it, it smells like smoke.... but I did not buy the case to smell it! The mesh pouch is large enough to fit only my charger, which is perfect for me. Make sure you store your Garmin screen towards the hard shell of the case... NOT towards the pouch where your charger will be. I was VERY skepical about buying this case because of all the negative reviews, but I am glad that I gave it a shot because its exactly what I need: a case for my garmin & my charger.

Case is nice, but will not work as picture shows - you cannot put unit and power cord in case and slose it - no reason to transport unit without power cord with it & that is the case with this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars protect the screen, January 11, 2011
This review is from: Carry Case for TomTom and Garmin GPS Navigators (Electronics)
No, it's not a waste of money. This is great to protect the screen on the GPS device, that is one of the main purpose for it. Get this and put this and your chargers and accessories in a separate case. That is the way to go, might save you some money in the long run.

I hope you don't plan on any cables in with the unit. If you try it say goodbye to your screen.

I bought this to store my TomTom in and I am very happy with it. I wanted my TomTom with me when I flew to a vacation destination where I would be renting a car, and the case held it neatly and compactly in my carry-on.
You can fit the TomTom, mounting bracket, and power cable in the case by storing it this way:
- Attach the bracket to the back of the unit, folding the bracket down (i.e. "in half").
- Place the TomTom under the elastic straps with the screen face down against the fabric.
- Put the power cable in the net pocket.
> To make sure it all fits, slide the TomTom to one side of the case and place the large end of the cable (the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter) on the opposite side of this. Loosely pack the rest of the cord under the netting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Functional and economical, September 21, 2011
This review is from: Carry Case for TomTom and Garmin GPS Navigators (Electronics)
I purchased this case for my recently purchased Garmin Nuvi 1390LMT that I brought with me for a 4-day Orlando trip with friends. At just over $3.50, I was surprised at the quality of the case. It definitely served its purpose by providing some protection for my GPS - I already dropped it before I could even use it.

There isn't any room in the case to store the car charger/traffic receiver and the mounting kit but that wasn't a problem for me because I always kept my friction mount and charger in the vehicle. The case has extra storage for multiple media (SD) cards which is a nice feature to have in a carrying case if you want to carry additional maps while travelling.

The wrist strap was also a neat feature to have if you plan to carry the case in your hand rather than keeping secured in your pocket. One thing to keep in mind - this case is specifically designed for GPS units with a 4.3" screen or smaller. Anything else larger will not fit. For the price I paid for it, I consider it a bargain.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bait and Switch, March 31, 2011
This review is from: Carry Case for TomTom and Garmin GPS Navigators (Electronics)
I purchased the case for my TomTom 340M. As has been mentioned by previous reviewers, the case that is pictured is not what I received. My case does have the TomTom brand on it. The case is designed to open about an inch, and is only large enough to hold the TomTom unit. There is no room for the power cord.
If you are looking for a case to hold your TomTom in to keep the face from getting scratched while it is in your backpack or purse, then this will be more than adequate. If you are looking for a case that will consolidate the TomTom and the power cord in one convenient carrying case, then you may want to consider an alternate source for the product.
