The horror entry of the long running British "Carry On" series of movies. Lots of old horror cliches, but well executed with good humor. A 1966 movie, so no explicit gore. The Vampira/Morticia character is well done by the beautiful Fenela Fielding, who actually had dark hair and eyes. Enjoyable story and the always stellar British acting. Innocent and fun family fare. The dvd is a decent color print from Sinister Cinema, the grandfather of retail horror!

I ordered this for a trip down memory lane, and it was.
I didn't realise this was one of the later productions, with the newer, younger faces and lots of the "old" cast/gang either not in it or having a 2 minute part.(Example Charles Hawhtry was in for one scene only.)
There is no Sid James or Barbara Windsor, so those of you Carry On purists will need to look for older films in the series.
Having said that I did enjoy all the send ups that they do so well.
Then at the end when Kenneth Williams says "Frying Tonight" I burst out laughing and had to explain to my (Canadian) husband that I'd been waiting through the whole film for that one line!
(It became a catch phrase between my sister & I years ago.)
If you want to experience a bit of nostalgic, cliched, silliness - this is a fair bet.

I remember watching these movies as a youngster and hadn't seen them for some time. They still make me laugh and also my wife who is seeing them for the first time!!!

Excellent British comedy, lots of fun to watch. I ordered the Sinister Cinema DVD-R copy, but would not recommend it. Has the look and feel of a poor quality bootleg copy, washed out colors and a menu that looks as if it was created on home movie burning software. Spend a little more and buy a copy from a reputable company. Sinister Cinema = junk! Oh wait it had a first rate plastic case.
