Good game for small kids,

We bought this game thinking it would be a good game for an entire family--fun for all ages, like many of the other Disney games--but it seems to be very geared for younger kids. (Something that is sorely needed in PS3 gaming... so this isn't a complaint...)
It's fun, and has great characters, etc--so if you have young kids, go for it. :)

I've had this game for about a month now. I haven't played it all the way through, but I've had a good time with the races I've done. Basically, the game has a story mode where you play as Lightning McQueen (it's set in the time period after the movie) and you engage in various races for different reasons. You drive around the town and area of Radiator Springs and as you go you find places that have races for you to do.
The bottom line here are the races. I've played a lot of racing games from Gran Turismo to Need for Speed and I actually found this to be challenging. If fact, I was pretty angry at first that I didn't immediately start beating this "kid's game!" Of course, I started off in the "Champion Mode" because it was a "kid's game." But, once I learned the race course, I was able to place first. (I know, you're really impressed.) My daughter is almost five and she likes the game but is just a bit too young to really be able to play. So, she gets frustrated. But, she still likes trying to play it. The kids love the Pixar characters so that's fun. The game has a lot to recommend. The racing is fun. The graphics are really great, very sharp and clean. There are cute things like the cars talk to each other when they're racing, like taunting each other as they pass. Mater is fun to drive (in arcade mode, for example) because his tow cable whips around when he catches air as if it were a tail (remaining true to the movie, too, if I remember correctly). So, it's a fun game. Play it with your kids. Unlike many games based on movies it appears that they were actually interested in making a good racing game for young ones instead of simply cashing in on the name-recognition.

I ordered this game for my daughter who is 8 and my son who is 4 and they really like this game. It is a little difficult for my son but he still loves to play this game all the time and is getting better each time he plays.

The races are fun. I don't understand what the rest of the game is all about, but it doesn't matter.
The really important thing for me is that my 4 year old son loves it!

Great game for 2 players which there are not many for kids. Get the "cheat codes" to unlock other tracks and vehicles.

My 4-year old grandkid enjoys this game a lot. The instruction booklet is not too instructional and should be redone.

The main course is getting a bit stale after some time, same with the side-adventures - the kids liked it, in the beginning. In fact, they started asking for their V.Flash Cars game again - OUCH (luckily I kept it in the basement).
Interesting feature was the way the sixaxis controller: tilting it resulted in extra maneuverability - but that's not really for the kids. Yet. Maybe when they're tired of their V.Flash game... OK game if you get it on a discount - it's not worth the full price!

Got this game for my 3 year old. Turns out his mom likes to play it more than he does. There is a story mode and arcade mode. Arcade mode is just races. You can move around town and can just drive and mess around in story mode which is better suited for the younger kids.

I purchased the game for my 7 yr. old son. The game is very age appropriate for him and I'll admit I enjoy playing it too. Only complaint is there are very little directions and it's a little confusing how to progress through some aspects of the game.

First of all, this game is not a lot of fun for adults, but better for kids under 9. Very kid friendly, no doubt about it. But when you ride on some sand, the sand gets in your face and blocks you. Even though that is an issue, if your a parent, this would be a good buy for your child and yourself!
