Cars Movie Moments: Buzz & Woody

I ordered the Buzz and Woody diecast cars for my sons, and they both just love them! They are a fun complement to the line up of Pixar Cars diecast vehicles, as Woody has a cowboy hat and Buzz has a removable space helmet. My sons love to push them all arond and place race track!

My son loves the die-cast Cars toys. He has many of them and plays with them constantly, and the quality of most of them has been pretty good. This 2 pack, however, is an exception. The helmet on the Buzz toy falls off easily. It's more than just "detachable"--it falls off every time you lift the toy up. When we first opened these toys up I thought Buzz was defective, and I returned the toy, got a new set, and found the exact same problem. I guess this is how the toy is SUPPOSED to function, though that's hard for me to believe.



We found a simple solution. The helmet is superglued now, but it still annoys me that Mattel would make a toy like this with a helmet that just, well, falls off. Still, these toys are a lot of fun and are a pretty good value if you buy them at a retail store and not at inflated third party prices (due to scarcity).

Everything is so fun about this toy except for one thing: the removable helmet!
You have to be careful if your son is 3 years old and likes to throw cars to see them running, you got a problem with Buzz because the helmet can fall down easily. Finally, the helmet alone looks a little fragile. I decided to keep the helmet in the box for now.

I didn't like how Buzz's plastic helmet isn't attached. So, I just super glued it on there and my son plays with it all the time. Very durable toy.

I bought these for a little boy I babysit. He's absolutly in LOVE with Toy Story and Cars, so I figured that these would be the perfect compromise for the kid that seemingly has everything, being the only child and only grandkid on both sides of the family. They're very cute, but I had it in my mind that they'd be... bigger. Maybe I'm just thinking of the toy cars that my cousins and I used to play with, but each car is very tiny. All in all, though, they seem great for the price and I'm very excited to give them to him for his birthday.

As noted the Buzz helmet does not stay on. I super glued my son's and he is 110% happy with these toys. I am happy with the metal feel and the paint jobs are outstanding. I posted images of there size, they are smaller then the Die Cast Cars Movie toys as I assumed (in the movie Cars at the end these "appear" smaller). I recommend this to anyone with a kid that likes Cars and Toy Story. My son is going NUTS over these.

Woddy is awesome and cool looking. But buzz and the helmet thing is kind of annoying. The helmet if you have it on pops off way to easily and it's hard to get on. He's just better with out it.

Woody car is great, Buzz car has issues. Helmet does not stay attached to car.

I was disappointed to find the paint already chipped on "Buzz," even though the seller claimed the set to be "new in package." Still, these cars are cute and will suit their purpose just fine, though I think I'll glue Buzz's helmet on him before giving him to my son.

These cars are durable and just like the characters from the movie! My sons (2.5 & 1) absolutely love them, and we are pleased to say that they are EXTREMELY resilient and water safe (*Not the Look my EYES CHANGE, or Hauler trailers)! My boys play with them in the tub, yard, floor, carry them everywhere they go in a back pack, and they keep them entertained for hours!!! A must have for "Disney" families. We really love the Cross-Over collection like Mike & Sulley, and Woody & Buzz!
