Kid got this as a gift and two years later is still enjoying it. We don't keep it out all the time, but bring it out occasionally when the kid remembers & asks for it. I think the track construction is a little fiddly, you have to fold the plastic "flame" tunnel into a cone and snap the edges into a frame and the positioning of the ramp with the tunnel has be "just right" for the car to go all the way through. But kiddo likes trying different experiments with how the car launches and the different mechanisms have stayed fascinating.

We bought this as a gift for our son from his newborn sister. He loves it! We have spent countless hours launching cars. He really enjoys this. It is nice because the mechanism is easy enough for him to pull back himself. He is 2 and a half years old. He loves seeing the cars flip up and the crane spin when he launches cars too.

It's fun, it does come apart but is easy to put back together, just like most of the other track sets out there. Works well in conjunction with other car sets, we usually set up multiple all over his room. This one is cool. In response to the other two reviews, the box clearly states that mater is not included.

This is definitely a toy I wouldn't buy if they didn't specifically request it. Just to confirm the tokyo mcqueen is included, Mater is not. I wanted to hurl things accross the room putting this together the first time and every time it has fallen apart since then. I have been through lots of Disney Cars, Matchbox assembly type things and though they were pretty self explanatory the pieces just didn't click together right and needed to be forced. I dare say that this was the worst assembly ever and it was only a few pieces. The set is no longer used as pictured but my son uses the different pieces of the set all the time (because there is no way to get the thing back together again completely) so the ramp is shorter and the second part which launches the car is now used to hurl things into the bath tub. It is also fun when the ramp misses and the diecast pieces go clunk on my hardwood floors. I hate this toy in so many ways but we have had it for over 6 months and it endures as a favorite toy(in its remaining form). So at the end of the day this is a tough one---do you love your child more than your sanity? Do you have someone else who you can burden with assembly, someone you despise? My child would give this 5 stars. If that is all you care about then I welcome you into the Tokyo Knockout sucker club!
