2008 two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) Sight And Sound release from the New Wave legends features the excellent Unlocked DVD that documents the Cars' amazing career with plenty of live footage plus a CD that features 14 live tracks from Ric, Ben and the boys. As leaders of the Boston music scene in the mid-to-late '70s, The Cars knack for sharp and snappy melodies earned them a following with New Wave, Rock and Top 40 fans. As the band progressed, those melodies were matched by imaginative production, inventive arrangements and an even larger, more devoted following. They don't build 'em like this anymore. 37 tracks total. Warner.
