It's very convenient to use since you don't have to hold it up all the time.

Definitely better quality than the other cheap plastic magnifiers I bought.

This isn't really a loupe, it is pretty big. But it is a great magnifier for use with small crawling things and such. This is a great thing for kids to take outside. Watch out for little boys with this though, it makes a fine solar ant immolator.

This is a nice magnifier for kids, and a good value. It's heafty enough for a little rough handeling, and magnifies well. It's also easy for kids to handle and hard to loose.

I didn't realize that it was as big as it is before I received the package. But, it's still a great product. I was expecting a size of around 2" and it is really about 5" across. A great way to see bugs close up as along as they stay still long enough.

i thought that i might be wasting my money on this product, but instead I feel that i got way more than I expected. It's very convenient to use since you don't have to hold it up all the time. I don't use it for bugs, but I do use it to see slight imperfections in handwritten letters.

You don't have to actually touch the bug or frog or whatever and it can't get away while you are looking at it. We had a lot of fun using this with the grandson.

The Bug loupe is much bigger than we anticipated. It is easy for our 5 year old to place it over bugs and see the larger image easily. It seems durable enough and he enjoys to bring it out to look at his discoveries.

I use this magnifier for viewing transparencies of film strips from my medium format camera over a light box when processed from the photo labs. It is not as powerful as the 8x or 10x loupes which are made for 35mm slides, but
these magnifiers do not cover the full image from the 120 or 220 size films. Since the images of the 120 size film is nearly 2.5 times larger than 35mm film the Carson Bug Loupe 5x is more than sufficient.
