this is a great magnifier pure and simple. With the ability to choose from 5X, 10X or 15X magnification it has versatility single lens mags don't. The housing is a solid strong plastic only open on the side that the lens close into. The same hard plastic wraps the lenses. THe view clarity is good. Of course as with any magnification tool you need to have enough light to go through unless it comes with a built in light. But, if that's not a concern and you need a solid good power magnifier or are visually impaired like me. This is definitely a good buy for the price. I easily would have been willing to pay $20 for this and it cost me a fraction of that.

This folding loupe is pretty good. It has three lenses of equal magnification to let you get to a theoretical x15. I say theoretical because one of the lenses in the item I got is reversed. This makes it hard to use three lenses. It works great for one or two lenses though!
