5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice table magnifier
This would be an excellent craft magnifier. I don't need to use the light on it but might be nice if you needed the extra detail light. I have it mounted to the far right of my elbow at my computer desk. It functions like I hoped it would. When I need to read some real fine print that is too fine for my glasses I can pull this thing down and over the item and read can it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken in less than 2 months
I am very disappointed with this magnifier. In less than 2 months of infrequent use the flexible part came off the base. I can see a loose nut in the base but it is impossible to access it. Will try to hot glue it but not sure that it would work. Very cheaply made magnifier. Frustrating!

I have it mounted to the far right of my elbow at my computer desk. It functions like I hoped it would. When I need to read some real fine print that is too fine for my glasses I can pull this thing down and over the item and read can it and type on my computer at the same time. It works like you would expect and I am totally satisfied with this product. It also easily mounts on the edge of my desk edge and stays secure no matter how I pull it around. Really nice!

My embroidery work became MUCH easier when I bought this product. Only negative is that the product is not very durable. The flexible arm itself is durable (and works very well), but on both ends of the arm, at the magnifying lens and at the base, the arm is starting to wiggle loose. The way it is going, I anticipate a years worth of use before I need to replace it. If I buy this same model as a replacement, I'll be sure to handle it with kid gloves and not make any "rough" adjustments.

This lighted magnifying glass/lamp works a charm. Flexible mounting makes it a breeze to set up and use - recommended.

The lens of this magnifier is made of cheep plastic and scratches easily. The clamp that attaches to a shelf has a post that's made of plastic or soft metal and that's where the magnifier attaches itself to. After three months of use I was pulling the magnifier over to me and the post sheared off making the magnifier totally useless. I attached my Amazon receipt to an email showing the purchase date which was well within warranty period and sent it off to Carson customer service. It's now been a month since the email was sent and I haven't heard word one from Carson. Save your money and find a different manufacture for this type of device.

I purchased this magnifier to help me make Rosaries. It has come through swimmingly! With age comes failing eyesight...and this tool has helped me immensely. I check and double-check each link in each Rosary, a task that is made far easier with the use of this magnifier. I have had no issues with breakage, and I really love the design. I would highly recommend this!
