From Library Journal
While Johnny Carson is very well known, he is also publicity shy. The lack of any personal contribution by him to this work is apparent. Much of the material here is available in other published sources, but it is brought together in this book. The book's biggest drawback is its repetitiveness. Incidents and quotes are used several times to illustrate essentially similar points. Overall, the book is not particularly interesting or well written, but Carson's popularity and serial rights to Good Housekeeping and the National Enquirer should assure demand. Barbara E.
