They have done it again!!!! Classic Ashley and Jaquavis, October 27, 2009
This review is from: The Cartel 2 (Paperback)
Ashley and Jaquavis have proven themselves once again in this sequel. It will glue you to the seat your in and pull you right in. I got lost in the world of Diamond family and the murder mamis. Straight from page one you are refreshed with a quick recap and then thrusted right into the story to the very shocking end. I don't read and tell so get it for yourself and i promise you won't be disappointed. Can you say Classic. Well, I can so get ready to ride with the Cartel on another heart thumping ride through another page turner. Great jobs once again to these two fantabulous authors.

Full of Drama -- and won't disappoint!, November 1, 2009
This review is from: The Cartel 2 (Paperback)
First let me say that the last 1 1/2 pages of the book really shocked me . . . and i'm not sure if it was in a good or bad way.
Having said that, I also have to say that Ashley and Jaquavis really put it down! This is definitely one of the best sequels I've seen in long time, and I'm thrilled that Cartel is actually being turned into a series!
Cartel 2 finally gives us the background on Miramor, the dark heroine of the first book. We all kno that Miramor is a member of the Murder Mamas, and now we kno how and why she became an assasin, and how the Murder Mamas started.
Thanks to the this book, Miramor becomes an even more sympathetic character, as we learn about her childhood, and understand fully the bond between her and her sister, Anisa. And the bittersweet romance between Zyir and Breeze becomes even more bittersweet!
And for those who loved Carter, well . . . let me say that a nu male character has been introduced in this book that we females are also going to fall in love with. And older characters step up their game even more.
Ashley and Jaquavis do an EXCELLENT job of giving us extensive background on the charaters, but at the same time moving the story forward. It's wonderful when a writer can give character development without it getting in the way of the plot, and Ashley and Jaquavis are indeed masters.
I also like the fact that they incorporated different locales in this book. . . New York, Miami, Jamaica. It makes it easy for readers from different parts of the country to easily relate to what's going on.
Have I alreay said I can't wait for Cartel 3? My only disappointment is I'll have to wait so long. It's not due to come out until June.
AAAAgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Salty.....
What I thought was a great read, turned out to be such a disappointment. I got pass the errors such as the songs that were mentioned that weren't even out, or the fashion worn that wasn't in style at that time period, etc. But when I got to the ending I felt totally hoodwinked. I deserve a refund.
I don't want to give away or shed too much light on why I was so heavily disappointed for obvious reasons. However, on the flip side, we do learn in depth about the Murder Mama's. We learn how they were created and the history behind Miramor's cold blooded heart.
I am anxiously awaiting part three. Since none of my questions were answered in part 2, I guess I'll sit here and twiddle my thumbs until next time.
A message to the dynamic duo........ You have me MAD! Therefore you get 2 stars from me. So Half a**ed!
